This course starts by analyzing the different classes of powered industrial trucks and the different types of fuel that make forklifts run. You’ll learn when and where to operate them safely as well.
You will get to learn about some of the key principles that help you safely maneuver your forklift such as the Stability Triangle, the Fulcrum Principle and forklift load capacities.
Following this we’ll cover how to start up your forklift, how to perform your daily pre-operation inspection and how to safely transport your load and maneuver, as well as how to safely park your forklift at the end of your shift.
Finally, you will learn about some of the most common hazards associated with forklift operation and how to safely mitigate those hazards to avoid injury to yourself and others.
