You’ll learn about OSHA regulations and risk assessments, before we examine construction site hazards and effective safety procedures in detail.
Mechanical hazards covered include plant, equipment, vehicle injuries and vibration, along with physical hazards such as slips, trips, falls, working at height, electricity, manual handling, and workplace violence.
Focusing on chemical hazards, we examine fire, explosions, toxic chemicals, asbestos, silica dust, lead in paint, welding fumes, and carbon monoxide poisoning.
Biological hazards covered include Lyme Disease, histoplasmosis, stinging insects, poison oak, ivy, and sumac, needlestick injuries, and the hazards associated with working near water.
